Toward Home, Brenda Hasty, oil on canvas

Brenda Hasty -– Brentwood
Brenda began studying art at Watkins Institute as a student of the late Juanita Green Parks. During 20 years in Nashville raising five children, she would often have "interruptions" to her work in art -- sometimes not painting for years. Yet, she always came back to her life's passion, which she feels it is a gift from God. Brenda has studied with prominent local and national artists over the years.

Thalia Kahl -– Franklin
Thalia holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Ringling School of Art and Design with an emphasis in graphic design. She put her talent to work at ad agencies, in her own design agency and, for 10 years, as an international design manager for Coca-Cola Company. She left corporate life to care for her children. Her personal creativity shines through paintings that combine loose brush strokes with a passion for color.

Afternoon in the City, Lanie Loreth, acrylic on paper

Lanie Loreth – Scottsdale, AZ
Lanie Loreth earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Arizona State University. For over 11 years she enjoyed a career as an award-winning and well published graphic and environmental designer. Now a fulltime artist, her style transcends from abstract to realism. Her strong understanding of color, composition and form is evident in her work. She enjoys working with mixed media and uses handmade papers, natural leaves, flowers and grasses in many of her pieces, depending on the “story” she is telling in the piece.
