Looking Toward Pienza, Brenda Hasty, oil

Brenda Hasty -– Brentwood
Brenda began studying art at Watkins Institute as a student of the late Juanita Green Parks. During 20 years in Nashville raising five children, she would often have "interruptions" to her work in art -- sometimes not painting for years. Yet, she always came back to her life's passion, which she feels it is a gift from God. Brenda has studied with prominent local and national artists over the years.

Sherrie Levine – Nashville
Born in Georgetown, South Carolina, Sherrie Russ Levine studied art at Ringling School of Art & Design in Sarasota, Florida. After graduating from art school in 1981, she worked as a designer and art director in Atlanta, Georgia, for 10 years before moving to Nashville, Tennessee. Sherrie is an artist noted for her loose impressionist paintings that are vibrant with light and color. Her works capture the emotional impact of a scene with expressive brushwork, a clear and direct statement, and the strongest color effect possible. She often travels to find new inspiration and loves to paint on location.

Afternoon in the City, Lanie Loreth, acrylic on paper

Lanie Loreth – Scottsdale, AZ
Lanie Loreth earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Arizona State University. For over 11 years she enjoyed a career as an award-winning and well published graphic and environmental designer. Now a fulltime artist, her style transcends from abstract to realism. Her strong understanding of color, composition and form is evident in her work. She enjoys working with mixed media and uses handmade papers, natural leaves, flowers and grasses in many of her pieces, depending on the “story” she is telling in the piece.
